Before I bought this HDMI cable for my Roku XDS I shopped around first at local Walmart and Best Buy, and read some reviews for this product. I'm a retired electrical engineer and do no longer consider on going overboard, spending greater than adequate to get a just right consequence on audio and video element. There are cables available in the market which can be worthd too excessive to get the cash out of those people who are willing to pay the worth. Those individuals always believed that if the value is high, the product must be very excellent. For digital signal transmission, this HDMI cable is more than sufficient. My video and audio weren't degraded, and I did not notice any misplaced of clarity either on video or audio signal.

I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my pc to move video from the internet to my HDTV. The image is apparent and the sound high quality is excellent. I do not see any distinction while the usage of this cable from pc to HDTV than I do when observing TV instantly from my satellite tv for pc box. The handiest problem I even have with this cable is that it is rather thick because of the braiding, which makes it hard to show. I need to plug it into one aspect of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the opposite facet the position I location my laptop out of tripping vary. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop round and it's heavier than the opposite cables I have. This cable would most probably be perfect for professional use the position there may neatly be heavy utilization and plugging and unplugging of the twine. It will most certainly stand the check of time and constant movement easier than the regular easy vinyl cables. But, for traditional home use, the vinyl cables are more straightforward to handle.

This is the HDMI cable to get proper now: an HDMI 1.4 cable at a good value.

HDMI 1.4

HDMI 1.4 is the latest same old (as of November 2010 at least). It is backward suitable with other HDMI equipment (mine all are HDMI 1.3 compliant). And it'll be extra helpful to you if your TV make strongers HDMI 1.4 networking. I used to be no longer able to check the Ethernet networking functionality of this cable, but I think the speculation at the back of it's a good one.

For my present dwelling leisure setup, I had to arrange separate Internet connections on my TV, set top field, Blu-Ray player, and WD TV LIVE (HTPC). It would have been so much easier if I could have simply arrange my TV's web connection, and permit all of my elements to share it. That's what HDMI 1.4 guarantees to mean you can do--as lengthy as all of your onerousware, together with the cables, reinforces it. This cable will strengthen that functionality; it is more "future-proof" than the HDMI 1.3 cables I even have been the utilization of.

This Cable

This cable is truly lengthy, so I don't suggest it in case your parts are very shut collectively. A 3-foot cable would easily suffice in that case.

Overall Impressions

This cable is a great purchase. Definitely order it in case your new A/V or PC parts do not include an HDMI cable.
